60-year-old female

Case Description

A 60-year-old female presented with severe low back pain and scoliosis, which significantly impaired her ability to work.

Surgical Goals

  • Achieve complete resolution of pain.
  • Restore and improve standing posture.

Surgical Intervention

The patient underwent an L5-S1 anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), followed by a T11-to-sacrum fusion with iliac fixation.

Outcome

Postoperatively, the patient achieved a perfectly upright standing posture and experienced complete resolution of pain. She successfully returned to work within three months.

Case Study: The patient underwent a minimally invasive laminectomy and fusion from L4 to the sacrum.
