Case Description

A 55-year-old male presented with debilitating neck and arm pain, progressive worsening of handwriting, and unsteady gait, which had led to multiple falls.

Surgical Goals

  • Alleviate neck and arm pain.
  • Improve gait stability.

Surgical Intervention

The patient underwent C4-C7 anterior cervical decompression and fusion surgery.

Outcome

The patient was discharged the same day of surgery and returned to work within one week. At over two years postoperatively, he continues to do well and has maintained a successful return to work.
